ahh.. the benefits of living so close to remote places.. quite rivers, long paddles, and secluded places for camping.
..but not really all that secluded as this strolling couple discovered.
We paddled 9 hours in total covering 37 bending miles of river, though I suspect my canoe companions paddled a bit more as our guest had never paddled and while taking turns at steering attempted to cross the river many times.. picture this:

Poor guys.. we did have a great time, the only frowns coming in comedy as we considered our second day of paddling as it rained on us.
Our camp was well organized and we ate like.. well, as if we were at home.. marinated herbed NY Strips, baked potatoes with all the fixin's, heirloom tomatoes, bananas foster, oatmeal, coffee and various snacks.
